Previous CIRMS Annual Meetings

Following the initial meeting in 1992, annual meetings have been held every fall at NIST with the President presiding over the meeting. The 2013 annual meeting was postponed to the spring of 2014 on account of the United States federal government shutdown. Since then CIRMS annual meetings were moved to the spring to avoid the complication of planning a meeting on a federal campus around the start of the federal government’s fiscal year.

The 2020 annual meeting was the first meeting planned off the NIST grounds at the nearby campus of The Universities at Shady Grove; however this meeting was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. An abbreviated virtual meeting was held in 2021 on account of the on-going pandemic.
